She is so much fun and I got so many great shots, I will be editing for days! These are just a couple of Naomi. She is very relaxed and has an amazing presence in front of the camera. Man, if I could stop him from growing I just might. He's such a bundle a this age. We did these in the garage on some black seamless paper. I thought when we started he might get a little fussy - no sir, he was ready :) Photoshoots with little ones are a little nerve-racking for me. Never quite know what you are going to get. Parents can be nervous and on edge. Luckily Nolan is extremely comfortable with having his picture taken :) The New Old Me http://apertureaffect.com/blog/blogentry/508-the-new-old-me So this is not gonna be some self affirming post. More like a reminder of the stuff I told myself I was going to do this year. Stuff like stop over-thinking things. Over-thinking, in the worng hands, leads to unnecessary self-censoring. Stopping yourself from doing or saying or posting things which if you had thought about it differently, might have made a great thing. I am not talking about a filter - we all need a filter. I call that manners. Having some maners will stop you from doing things that would be considered rude. I am talking about that diseased version of yourself in your head that constantly tells you you don't quite make muster. That version of oursleves is a little louder in some than others. If you give it too much of a voice it will stop you from moving forward, from evolving. This is just a reminder to stop listening to that little bastard and do those things you constantly think about... Exploring Griffith Quarry http://apertureaffect.com/blog/blogentry/507-exploring-griffith-quarry Went to Griffith Quarry with James yesterday. A somewhat crappy weather day turned into a really great day of exploring. So many beautiful settings in this old quarry. I had been here once before but didn't really have time to truly explore it. There are so many interesting backdrops and scenes. A little litghting here and a model there... this place could crank out some really great images. Click here for more photos
